This past weekend was a momentous occasion for Greensboro, North Carolina as they opened their second Skatepark, the Latham Skatepark. This 10,000 sq. ft. Skatepark was designed to fit within an existing park system. The site was unique as it was home to a 200 year old historic Oak tree. In order to preserve the historic tree our design team created two separate sections, a flow bowl and a street flow, with street elements intregrated into the connection sidewalk. Congratulations Greensboro and a big thanks to the superior quality of Artisan Skateparks, another successful designbuild project is in the books.
